Role Overview

The Junior BIM Specialist – 4D Planning supports the integration of BIM models with the construction schedule for data centre and mission-critical projects. Working under the supervision of senior BIM and planning specialists, the role helps link model elements to programme activities, builds sequence visualisations for specific zones or systems, and supports progress tracking. This is an opportunity to build specialist expertise in 4D BIM planning and multidisciplinary coordination within a fast-track project environment, alongside experienced engineers across CTS's EMEA project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Link BIM model elements to programme activities in Synchro 4D and Navisworks, under the direction of a senior specialist or planner.
• Build and update 4D sequence visualisations for assigned zones or systems, and prepare simulation exports for review.
• Maintain the model-to-schedule mapping (WBS/activity codes to model objects) as the Primavera P6 or MS Project programme is revised.
• Support look-ahead planning by producing short-interval sequence visuals for site and coordination meetings.
• Assist with progress tracking by updating model status against site-reported actuals and preparing basic progress overlays and dashboards.
• Carry out basic clash detection in Navisworks and flag time-space conflicts to the BIM Coordinator.
• Maintain files and issues within the project Common Data Environment (BIM 360/ACC) in line with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) naming and version conventions.
• Assist with RFIs, technical queries, and coordination documentation relating to 4D deliverables.
• Support senior team members in preparing 4D outputs for client and progress review meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in BIM, construction planning, or MEP/civil engineering, with exposure to model-based scheduling.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks; exposure to Synchro 4D or similar 4D tools is an advantage.
• Basic proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Awareness of BIM workflows, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and ISO 19650 information management principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; comfortable working with structured data and schedules.
• Good communication skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, high-complexity environment.
