Role Overview

The Junior Hydraulic Engineer supports the design and analysis of hydraulic and fire-extinguishing systems for major data center and industrial campus projects, working under the supervision of senior engineers. The role assists in delivering efficient, high-availability technical designs from initial concept through to construction, in line with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and analysis of hydraulic systems for infrastructure, industrial, and water-related projects.

  • Assist in preparing hydraulic calculations, flow analysis, and system sizing.

  • Help develop technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.

  • Support hydraulic modeling and simulation work to optimize system performance.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, under guidance, to support seamless project execution.

  • Assist in reviewing designs for compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.

  • Help prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

  • Support fire suppression design tasks, including automated fire sprinkler systems and suppression piping networks, under supervision.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Water Resources, or a related Engineering discipline.

  • 3–5 years of experience in hydraulic engineering, water systems, or related projects.

  • Developing understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulic design principles, and system analysis.

  • Exposure to hydraulic modeling and engineering software such as EPANET, HEC-RAS, or similar tools.

  • Awareness of EN 12845 and NFPA 13 standards.

  • Awareness of LEED and BREEAM programs.

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills; eagerness to learn in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
