About CTS Group

CTS Group is a fast-growing international design and build company specializing in data center development across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). We combine engineering excellence, innovation, and digital transformation to deliver high-performance, sustainable, and future-ready data center solutions.

With over 40 nationalities represented across our teams, CTS fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture where innovation and technical precision drive every project. Beyond construction, CTS develops digital systems and standardized modular data center units to meet the evolving needs of hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise clients. Our proven track record and strong partnerships have established CTS as a trusted industry leader delivering large-scale, complex data center facilities with speed, efficiency, and excellence.

Role Overview

As a Special Package Engineer, you will lead the technical design, procurement support, and integration of specialized modular packages for hyperscale or colocation data centers. You are responsible for ensuring that complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems are delivered as "plug-and-play" units, bridging the gap between site construction and product engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Systems Oversight: Ensure the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems align with project requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and supervise subcontractors and site teams involved in mechanical works.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections to verify that mechanical installations meet quality and safety standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot mechanical issues during construction and commissioning phases to prevent delays.
  • Compliance: Ensure all mechanical systems adhere to local codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Package Design & Integration: Define technical specifications for modular infrastructure, including containerized power rooms, cooling skids, and integrated rack suites.
  • Vendor Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for external vendors, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of equipment from initial design to Factory Acceptance Testing.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all packages meet stringent reliability, safety, and sustainability standards, while complying with local building codes and global datacenter benchmarks.
  • Commissioning Support: Collaborate with field teams to oversee the onsite integration and commissioning of special packages, ensuring seamless connectivity with the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct root-cause analysis on package failures and drive design improvements to enhance Energy Usage Effectiveness (PUE)
