Role Overview

The Junior Mechanical Engineer – Cooling Parts supports the design, documentation, and coordination of cooling systems and mechanical packages for mission-critical facilities, working under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support design and development of cooling system components and mechanical packages from concept through IFC and as-built stages.

  • Assist in selection, sizing, and integration of cooling equipment such as chillers, CRAHs, CDUs, pumps, and heat rejection systems.

  • Help ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client technical requirements.

  • Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams under senior direction.

  • Prepare design documentation and drawings to support fast-track delivery.

  • Assist with technical input for constructability, commissioning, and handover.

  • Support responses to RFIs and site teams during construction.

  • Prepare mechanical design packages for senior engineer review and sign-off.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

  • 3–5 years of experience in mission-critical, industrial, or related engineering environments.

  • Foundational knowledge of critical cooling systems (CRAH/CRAC, chillers, liquid cooling, heat exchangers, pumps).

  • Working proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Basic understanding of high-density and liquid-cooled data center environments.

  • Familiarity with redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N) is an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

  • Good collaboration and communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-complexity environments.
