Role Overview
The Junior Electrical Engineer – ELV supports the design and delivery of low-voltage power distribution and extra-low-voltage systems for data center and mission-critical facilities. Working under the supervision of senior engineers, the role produces single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and lighting layouts to established standards using EPLAN, Revit, ETAP, and DIALux.
Key Responsibilities

Support the design and development of electrical systems for data centers (power distribution, grounding, lighting, standby power) under the guidance of senior or lead engineers.

Assist in creating single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel schedules using EPLAN and Revit, on defined design tasks and drawing packages.

Support power system analysis (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protection coordination) using ETAP under supervision.

Assist in developing lighting and emergency lighting designs using DIALux.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, architectural) on assigned scopes of work.

Participate in peer design reviews and support compliance checks against international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70E).

Prepare draft design documentation, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for review.

Support RFI responses and site queries under supervision.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in mission-critical power systems.
Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferably proficient in or familiar with: ETAP, EPLAN, Revit, and DIALux.

Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E).

Familiarity with Tier classifications (Uptime Institute) and redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N).

Exposure to HV/MV substations, switchgear layouts, and BMS integration.

Knowledge of digital twin concepts or energy monitoring systems is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Proficiency in English (mandatory); Portuguese and other languages are an advantage.

3–5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience; works under the guidance of senior or lead engineers on defined design tasks and drawing packages.
