About CTS Group CTS Group is a fast-growing international design and build company specialising in data center development across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). We combine engineering excellence, innovation, and digital transformation to deliver high-performance, sustainable, and future-ready data center solutions.
With over 40 nationalities represented across our teams, CTS fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture where innovation and technical precision drive every project. Our proven track record and strong partnerships have established CTS as a trusted industry leader delivering large-scale, complex data center facilities with speed, efficiency, and excellence.
Role Overview The Communications Specialist owns the narrative and structure behind CTS Group's marketing collateral, ensuring that decks, brochures, campaigns, and thought-leadership content say the right things to the right audiences in a clear, well-structured way. Modelled on the communications specialist function used at top-tier consulting firms, the role's core value is narrative architecture and executive messaging: turning complex, technical data center and engineering content into structured, persuasive communications for hyperscaler, enterprise, and internal audiences.
The role sits at the intersection of marketing, brand, and technical subject matter, working closely with designers, video editors, and business development to ensure every piece of collateral tells a coherent, audience-relevant story.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the narrative arc and structure for marketing collateral, including pitch decks, brochures, campaign concepts, and one-pagers.
- Write and edit long- and short-form content, including thought-leadership articles, whitepapers, case studies, web copy, and email campaigns.
- Craft executive and thought-leadership communications, including talking points and messaging for leadership and industry forums.
- Translate technical engineering and data center content into clear, audience-appropriate messaging for hyperscaler, colocation, and enterprise clients.
- Own brand voice and messaging consistency across all marketing and communications collateral.
- Partner with designers, video editors, and campaign managers to align narrative structure with visual storytelling.
- Tailor stakeholder messaging for different audiences, seniority levels, and buyer roles.
- Perform editorial quality checks, including proofing, fact-checking, and tightening structure and flow of collateral.
- Support marketing campaigns end-to-end, including messaging for social, paid media, and events or webinars.
- Maintain a messaging and content library to ensure consistency and reuse across future campaigns.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-6 years of experience in a communications, content strategy, or copywriting role, ideally including exposure to consulting-style narrative or executive communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
- Exceptional storytelling and narrative-structuring ability, with a strong portfolio of published or produced work.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills in English, including the ability to self-edit and edit others' work.
- Demonstrated ability to distil complex or technical subject matter into simple, structured narratives.
- Strong understanding of brand voice, tone, and messaging frameworks.
- Experience developing multi-channel content, including decks, brochures, web, email, and social.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with design, video, and business development teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with data center, engineering, or B2B technology sectors is an advantage but not essential.
