We combine engineering excellence, innovation, and digital transformation to deliver high-performance, sustainable, and future-ready data centre solutions.

ROLE OVERVIEW CTS Group is looking for a Senior Planner to bring structure, foresight, and rigour to project delivery across our data centre and mission-critical programmes. The role combines traditional project controls expertise with modern scheduling methodologies, taking ownership of schedule development and maintenance from project initiation through to completion. Using Primavera P6 as the primary tool, the Senior Planner will ensure that timelines, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables remain aligned across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases — while providing clear, timely reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, aligned with project scope and contractual obligations.
  • Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and define schedule logic, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Monitor project progress against approved baselines; identify schedule variances and develop recovery plans where required.
  • Manage project milestones and ensure alignment across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning workstreams.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineering Teams, Commercial Teams, and Site Leadership to maintain schedule accuracy.
  • Support tendering and bid activities through planning input and schedule development.
  • Facilitate planning and coordination meetings, ensuring cross-functional alignment on programme deliverables.

Reporting & Project Controls

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedule revisions, delays, and change impacts.
  • Support project risk assessments, scenario modelling, and schedule analysis to inform management decision-making.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure planning processes comply with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor resource allocation and productivity trends; track dependencies and provide early warning indicators.
  • Support continuous improvement of project controls processes across the organisation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 7–12 years of planning experience on large-scale engineering, construction, infrastructure, EPC, or data centre projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle, Critical Path Method (CPM), and project controls methodologies.
  • Experience with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), resource planning, cost and schedule integration, and risk/scenario analysis.
  • Proven track record of preparing progress reports and schedule recovery plans in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  • Experience working within multinational organisations across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Background in data centres, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; confident in challenging assumptions and presenting findings to senior audiences.
