Role Overview
The Senior Planner owns the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for data center and infrastructure projects delivered from CTS's India office, from design through construction to handover.
The role builds and maintains project schedules, identifies schedule risk ahead of time, and gives project leadership a clear, accurate view of progress and critical path. Working closely with project managers, engineering, commercial and site teams, the Senior Planner also supports tendering with schedule inputs and mentors less experienced planners on the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and own the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Primavera P6 across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
- Build work breakdown structures (WBS) aligned to project scope and contractual requirements.
- Track progress against baseline, identify variances and critical path movement, and recommend schedule recovery actions.
- Lead schedule risk analysis and scenario modelling to support project decision-making.
- Prepare and issue weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards and progress summaries to project and senior leadership.
- Support tendering and proposal activity with schedule inputs, planning assumptions and resourced programmes.
- Facilitate planning and progress review meetings, ensuring alignment across project managers, engineering, commercial and site teams.
- Monitor resource allocation, productivity rates and interdependencies across disciplines and subcontractors.
- Provide early warning of delays and lead change/impact assessments on the programme.
- Mentor junior and intermediate planners and review the quality of their schedule updates.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 7–12 years of planning experience on large-scale construction, infrastructure or data center projects.
- Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) on multi-disciplinary programmes.
- Strong understanding of EPC workflows, project controls and scheduling best practice.
- Experience working on multinational or fast-track technical projects.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret schedule data and communicate risk clearly to stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions where needed.
