Role Overview

The Junior Civil Engineer – Prefabrication supports the technical development, review, and detailing of civil engineering solutions supporting prefabricated construction, helping ensure engineering information is accurately translated into fabrication and production requirements. Working under supervision, the role combines civil engineering fundamentals with BIM methodologies and digital engineering tools.

This is an opportunity to build specialist expertise in prefabrication engineering and BIM-based coordination, using Revit and Navisworks, within a fast-track project environment alongside experienced engineers across CTS's EMEA project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, analysis, and detailing of civil engineering solutions for prefabricated construction under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with the interpretation and review of fabrication and production drawings, specifications, and project documentation for manufacturing and construction suitability.
  • Support the technical interface between engineering, production, and construction, helping ensure design information is clearly transferred and coordinated across stages.
  • Assist with multidisciplinary coordination with structural, architectural, MEP, and the manufacturing team, helping identify interfaces, clashes, and technical inconsistencies.
  • Use Revit and Navisworks to support the development, review, update, and coordination of civil engineering models and project information, under supervision.
  • Support consideration of the practical requirements of fabricated components, including dimensions, weight, handling, transport, and installation.
  • Assist with reviews of engineering and production outputs for technical accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
  • Support the preparation and review of technical drawings, fabrication details, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines, production teams, suppliers, and construction teams to help resolve technical issues.
  • Provide engineering support across project stages and travel to project locations as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering design or multidisciplinary construction projects; exposure to data centres, critical infrastructure, or modular/prefabrication construction is valued.
  • Basic proficiency with Revit/BIM authoring software; exposure to Navisworks is an advantage.
  • Growing interest in digitalization and the application of BIM methodologies to engineering and construction processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with architects, engineers from other disciplines, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Responsible, proactive, and team-oriented, with strong motivation for continuous improvement.
  • Availability to travel according to project and business requirements
